Travelling to Inkpen Church

The postcode to use on a SatNav to get to Inkpen Church is: RG17 9DS.

The Church will be signposted once you reach Inkpen. Please park in the field opposite the Church on the day.

Directions to Inkpen Church from Hungerford



Inkpen Church – St Michael and All Angels


1.       Start from the Town Hall, Hungerford.
2.       At the roundabout by the Plume (opposite the Town Hall), turn left onto Park Street (sign posted Kintbury).
     3.       Head past the Down Gate pub onto the Common.
4.       Take the first left hand turn on the Common (sign posted Inkpen / The Swan Inn).
5.       Follow this road over the cattle grid all the way into Inkpen. The road is twisty but is constant and should take approximately 5 minutes to get to Inkpen.
6.       Once you reach the Inkpen sign post, follow the road through the houses until you get to a t-junction (at the phone box). Turn right.


7.       Follow the road around to the right, go down the hill and take the second turning on the left (follow the red van!).



8.       Follow the lane and take the turning onto the left into the field opposite the Church. This will be the car park for the day!

Directions to Inkpen Church from Newbury


Inkpen Church – St Michael and All Angels

1.       Start from Newbury Manor Hotel, Newbury.
2.       The hotel is on the A4. As you leave the hotel, turn left onto the A4 and follow the road out of Newbury. You will pass B&Q, Tesco, Pet Smart and a Toby Carvery before you get to the Robin Hood roundabout:

3.   As you continue on the A4 on the way out of Newbury, you will head through Speen and will pass Waitrose, The Starting Gate pub, a Shell garage, the Hare and Hounds, and finally, you’ll cross over the by-pass and be out of Newbury.
4.   Continue on the A4, past the turning for Hamstead Marshall, past The Halfway Inn, and then take the left hand turning signposted Kintbury.
5.   Follow the road into Kintbury, over the railway crossing.
6.   Once in Kintbury, look for the Corner Store. You will need to take the left hand turn which is opposite the store.


7.       Follow this road through Kintbury, up the hill, and out of Kintbury. Look out for Dan’s Granny’s house on the left!


8.       Continue on this road into the countryside. At the crossroad opposite the graveyard, turn right.

9.      Follow this road until you see a sign post which indicates 30 mph. Take the first right hand turn after the sign post toward Lower Inkpen and Ham.
10.  Follow this road down the hill and past Inkpen Primary School. The road will get very windy but follow it all the way down to the telephone box.
11.  At the phone box, keep following the road which will bend to the right.


12.  Follow the road around to the right, go down the hill and take the second turning on the left (follow the red van!).

13.  Follow the lane and take the turning on the left into the field opposite the Church.

Newbury Manor Hotel


Surrounded by mature trees and hidden away on the edge of Newbury you enter an oasis of tranquillity at Newbury Manor Hotel. Walk in the 9 acres of unspoiled woodlands and water meadows which teem with wildlife including deer.

The atmosphere is warm, relaxed and inviting, antiques and original works of art grace the reception rooms and the hotel is luxuriously appointed.


The Hotel has 34 rooms which are all available to book at preferential rates on the evening of our wedding. This includes a mixture of Master Suites, Executive Doubles, Family Rooms and Twin Rooms. We will continue to have all rooms available for booking on the evening of our wedding until June 2011 at which time the rooms will be released for general, public bookings. If anyone would like to group together and bundle into a room with roll-mats and sleeping bags to save space/money, please feel free to do so as the Hotel has confirmed that this won't be a problem.

The Hotel is surrounded by 9 acres of beautiful grounds, but as it includes some fast flowing streams and ponds, unfortunately we are unable to invite children under the age of 13 to our wedding.

From the M4

·          Leave the M4 at Junction 13 (Chieveley Services).
·          Follow the signs for Newbury on the A34 until you see a sign for Newbury on the A339.
·          Take this road until Robin Hood Roundabout, then take the middle lane marked A4 Thatcham/Reading.
·          Pass a BP garage on the left and continue to the roundabout.
·          Go straight over.
·          Newbury Manor Hotel is 300 yards along on the right hand side, opposite The Swan.

From the A34 Southampton

·          At the roundabout, take the first left.
·          At next roundabout, go straight over.
·          This takes you to Robin Hood Roundabout.
·          Stay in righthand lane and follow signs for the A4 towards Reading.
·          Pass BP garage on the left and continue to a roundabout.
·          Go straight over.
·          Newbury Manor Hotel is 300 yards along on the right hand side, opposite The Swan.
